Judd Nelson Biography
Judd Asher Nelson was born on 28th November 1959 in Portland, Maine to Jewish American parents. He attended St Pauls School in New Hampshire, then went to college in Pennsylvania.
Judd was hugely popular in the 80's with roles in such box office success stories as The Breakfast Club and St Elmos Fire. Judd also provided the voice of Hot Rod in Transformers The Movie.
Nelson's career failed to take off as excpected after these successes and he starred in a fair few flops during the late 80's and early 90's, his only real hit being New Jack City.
Suddenly Susan
In 1996, Judd Nelson was cast as Jack Richmond in the hit sitcom, Suddenly Susan. Jack was Susan's boss and turns out to be the brother of the man Susan deserted on her wedding day.
One of the show's lead actors, David Strickland, comitted suicide on March 22nd, 1999. Judd was close friends with David and didn't return for the following season after his death.
Stage work and current roles
In 2001, Judd played the Sherrif in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Kevin Smith has been a fan of Judd ever since his Brat Pack days.
Nelson currently does various stage roles and recently appeared on the hit TV show, CSI.
