It features Danny (Rob Lowe) and Bernie (James Belushi) as two single men living in Chicago. Danny meets Debbie (Demi Moore) at a bar and after a one night stand the pair start a relationship. The film follows the ups and downs of the couple trying to make things work and the effect the relationship has on their friends.
Whilst it may not be the most amazing movie of all time, About Last Night is a good character piece. It shows the difficulties young people face when settling down and is a bit deeper than some of the other Brat Pack pictures.

Demi Moore
Demi Moore was probably more successful in the 90’s than she was in the 80’s, but her role as Jules in St Elmo’s Fire, as well as her relationship with Emilio Etsevez, cemented her place in The Brat Pack. About Last Night was her other big 80’s hit but it was 1990’s Ghost alongside Patrick Swayze that really launched her as a global superstar.
Demi Moore Biography
Demetria Gene Guynes was born on 11th November 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico and spent her childhood in the suburbs of Pittsburg. Her biological father left her mother before she was born. As a result, Morre was give the Surname of her stepfather, Danny Guynes.
Danny Guynes frequently changed jobs, and made the family move fourty times. He committed suicide in 1980. Moore’s parents were bot alcoholics and frequently fought and beat each other.
Demi Moore’s family settled in Los Angeles in 1976. At 16, Moore was pursuaded by a friend to drop out of high school to become an actress.
The Brat Pack Years
After working and modelling in Europe, Moore made her film debut in the 1982 movie Parasite which faired not too badly at the Box Office, grossing $6 million.
Her big break came in the soap opera General Hospital where she played Jackie Templeton for a year from 1982. This led to bigger movie roles including the Bart Pack films, St Elmo’s Fire and About Last Night.
The 90’s and current work
During the 90’s, Demi Moore was at one point the highest paid actress in Hollywood. She became the first actress to be paid $10 million for a movie and starred in smash hits including Ghost, Disclosure, A Few Good Men and Indecent Proposal.
The mid nineties saw Moore’s career suffer slightly and she eventually took a break from acting. She returned in 2003 with a starring role in Charlie’s Angles: Full Throttle. She most recently appeared in the Emilio Estevez picture, Bobby.
Demi Moore has been married three times, to Freddie Moore from 1980 – 1984, to Bruce Willis from 1987 – 2000 and most recently to Aston Kutcher in 2005.
