Molly Ringwald

Molly Ringwald was born on the 18th February 1968 in Roseville California. Her acting career started at a very young age and at 6 she released an album, I Wanna Be Loved By You, Molly Sings. At age 8 she landed herself a place on TV's New Mickey Mouse Club.

After appearing in a few low budget movies she got the role of Samantha Baker in the John Hughes film Sixteen Candles. This was the film that really launched her career. Her next movie role was again for Hughes in The Breakfast Club and then her biggest success Pretty In Pink. Molly then refused the Lea Thompson role in Some Kind of Wonderful, ending her successful business relationship with John Hughes, who was furious.

Molly never really recaptured her popularity or success with her roles that followed but still appears in films as well as on Broadway.

Molly married her long time fiance Valery Lameignere in July 28, 1999 near Bordeaux France but they have since filed for divorce.
